Synchronous silicon removal and viscosity reduction in the soda-oxygen pulping of wheat straw

The black liquor (BL) obtained by straw pulping can hardly be applied to conventional alkali recovery systems because of its high concentration silicon and viscosity. Soda-oxygen synchronously deposit silica on the surface cellulose reduce content viscosity BL remarkably. In this paper, BLs wheat soda-oxygen at different end points (pH < 10, 11.5 pH 12) soda-anthraquinone (soda-AQ) were obtained. extent removal reduction before after centrifugation or membrane filtration as well thermodynamic properties investigated. Compared with that achieved soda-AQ, over 45% was removed from cooking a similar delignification level. total solid (TS) easily concentrated up approximately 50%. SiO2 further simple filtration, TS could increased 60% 300 mp s. With point decreased centrifugated had lowest content, highest volumetric isothermal expansivity (VIE) value, pyrolysis temperature.
